Summary
This study looked at a new program called the Next Day Clinic (NDC) at UCLA. Instead of admitting certain patients from the emergency room to the hospital, the clinic sends them home and sees them the next day. The goal is to keep people out of the hospital when it's safe, improve their experience, and save costs. The study included 570 adults with conditions like pneumonia, heart failure, or kidney injury.
