Simple surgical soak aims to stop Post-Op bleeding

NCT ID NCT05807074

Summary

This study tested whether applying a topical drug called tranexamic acid (TXA) directly to the surgical site during breast reconstruction could reduce common complications like bleeding (hematoma) and fluid collection (seroma). Each participant acted as their own control, with one breast receiving TXA and the other receiving a saline solution. The goal was to see if this simple, one-time application could improve recovery and reduce the need for additional procedures.
