Lab-Grown tumor spheroids could speed up cancer drug discovery
NCT ID NCT06782451
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study takes tumor samples from 50 patients with specific genetic mutations to grow 3D cell clusters called spheroids in the lab. Researchers will then test various cancer drugs on these spheroids to see which treatments work best for that mutation. The goal is to create a tool for drug testing, not to treat participants directly.
