First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 adults with large kidney stones to see if skipping the drainage tube after surgery reduces pain and speeds recovery. Half got standard surgery with a tube, half got tubeless surgery. The goal was to measure pain, need for painkillers, and hospital stay. Results could help make kidney stone surgery more comfortable.
