New vaginal surgery for sterilization aims to preserve sexual life
NCT ID NCT05910385
Summary
This study compared two ways to perform tubal ligation (a permanent birth control surgery) to see if a newer, less invasive vaginal method is as good as the traditional abdominal method when it comes to a woman's sexual life after surgery. Researchers enrolled 140 sexually active women and randomly assigned them to one of the two surgical techniques. They then measured sexual function, pain, recovery time, and overall satisfaction six months after the procedure.
