New drug cocktail aims to wipe out breast cancer before surgery

Summary

This study is testing a combination of four drugs (pertuzumab, trastuzumab, palbociclib, and exemestane) given before surgery to people with triple-positive breast cancer. The goal is to see if this treatment can eliminate all cancer cells in the breast and lymph nodes by the time of surgery. About 90 participants with stage II or III breast cancer will take part. The study is not yet recruiting.
