Lab-Grown tumors could predict best breast cancer treatments
NCT ID NCT05404321
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study takes small tumor samples from 163 people with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer and grows them in the lab as 3D mini-tumors called organoids. Researchers will test different cancer drugs on these organoids to see which ones work best and look for biological markers that predict treatment response. The goal is to learn how to personalize therapy for each patient, not to directly treat them.
