Scientists grow 'Mini-Tumors' in lab to test future cancer drugs

NCT ID NCT05404321

Summary

This study aims to collect tumor samples from people with triple-negative breast cancer to grow them into 3D models called organoids in the lab. Researchers will use these 'mini-tumors' to test how well new, innovative therapies might work and to search for biological markers that can predict which treatments a patient will respond to. The goal is to improve future treatment selection, but this study itself does not provide direct treatment to participants.
