Summary
This study tests whether a dietary supplement called tributyrin can help people with type 2 diabetes improve blood sugar control, reduce inflammation, and lower heart disease risk. About 60 adults with diabetes and a high risk of heart problems will receive either tributyrin plus their usual care or usual care alone. The goal is to see if this supplement offers extra benefits on top of standard diabetes treatment.
