Cream may soothe rash caused by cancer drugs

NCT ID NCT06358677

First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests if a tretinoin cream can help reduce the acne-like rash that often appears on the face during treatment with certain cancer drugs (panitumumab or cetuximab). About 25 adults with advanced solid tumors will apply tretinoin to one side of their face and a placebo cream to the other side, without knowing which is which. Researchers will compare the rash severity on each side to see if the cream makes a difference.
