Can a treadmill Trip-Proof your new knee?
NCT ID NCT05736666
Summary
This study is testing whether a special treadmill training program before knee replacement surgery can help prevent falls during recovery. About 200 people scheduled for knee replacement will be split into two groups: one gets standard fall-prevention advice, and the other gets that advice plus two weeks of treadmill training where they practice recovering from sudden, controlled slips. Researchers will track how many falls occur in the first year after surgery to see if the training makes a difference.
