First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at how a type of talk therapy for PTSD, called cognitive processing therapy (CPT), changes brain activity related to feeling pleasure. Researchers will use brain scans (fMRI) to see if therapy helps the brain's reward system work better. The study involves 120 adults with chronic PTSD who will receive therapy and undergo brain imaging before and after treatment.
