First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving tranexamic acid, a drug that helps blood clot, before prostate surgery can reduce bleeding and prevent anemia. About 80 men aged 50 and older with enlarged prostates will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach leads to less blood loss and faster recovery.
