Summary

This study looked at whether teaching young adults to interpret social comparisons in a constructive way can improve their motivation to exercise. 160 participants with low physical activity levels were split into two groups: one received training on constructive social comparison, and the other received general health education. Over eight weeks, researchers measured exercise adherence and how participants interpreted comparisons with others.
