Summary
This study tested whether training young adults to interpret social comparisons in a constructive way can improve their motivation and consistency with exercise. 160 adults with low physical activity were split into two groups: one received training on constructive social comparison, the other received general health education. Both groups followed an 8-week exercise program, and researchers measured exercise adherence and how participants viewed comparisons with others.
