Scientists track cancer DNA during surgery
NCT ID NCT03284684
Summary
This study aimed to understand how cancer-related DNA in the blood changes before, during, and after surgery. Researchers measured specific DNA fragments in 30 patients undergoing surgery for breast, prostate, or colon cancer. The goal was to gather baseline information to help future studies test whether different surgical or anesthesia techniques affect cancer outcomes.
