Summary
This study aims to understand how antibiotic-resistant germs are passed from mothers to babies during and after birth. Researchers will follow 1000 mothers and their newborns in Botswana, collecting samples from labor through the baby's first year. The goal is to identify factors that increase the risk of spreading these hard-to-treat germs to help develop better prevention strategies.
