Simple toys show promise in easing Children's fear of needles

NCT ID NCT06994637

Summary

This study tested if using simple distraction toys could make blood draws easier for young children. Researchers gave 120 kids aged 4-6 either a liquid hourglass to watch or a spiky ball to squeeze during the procedure. They measured if these toys helped reduce the children's pain, fear, and anxiety compared to kids who didn't use a toy.
