Scientists map the 'Language' of touch to give prosthetics real feeling

NCT ID NCT05548322

Summary

This research aims to understand the basic science of how humans feel touch. By studying healthy volunteers and some amputees, researchers will measure nerve signals in response to different textures and temperatures. The goal is to use this knowledge to build prosthetic limbs that can provide more natural and useful sensory feedback to their users.
