New cream trial aims to tame painful skin condition

Summary

This study is testing whether a topical cream called clascoterone can improve the symptoms and appearance of pilonidal disease, a common skin condition in the buttock cleft. 75 participants will apply either the study cream or a placebo cream twice daily for 12 weeks. Doctors will track changes in the condition's severity and participants will report on their symptoms and quality of life.
