Bad breath breakthrough? toothpastes with propolis or probiotics put to the test
NCT ID NCT07329062
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether toothpastes containing propolis, probiotics, or phosphate-based ingredients can reduce bad breath (halitosis) better than standard fluoride toothpaste. Fifty-two young adults brushed twice daily for 14 days, and their breath was measured using smell tests and a breath checker device. The goal was to see if these special toothpastes offer a simple, effective way to freshen breath.
