This study tested whether brushing children's teeth with chlorhexidine mouthwash three times a day could prevent lung infections in kids on breathing machines in the pediatric ICU. Researchers compared this method to standard mouth care in 118 children. The goal was to see if the extra cleaning lowered infection rates, shortened time on the ventilator, and improved survival.
