First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether tofacitinib, a drug already approved for rheumatoid arthritis, is safe for people with Sjogren's disease, an autoimmune condition causing dry eyes, dry mouth, and other symptoms. Sixty adults aged 18 to 75 with mild-to-moderate Sjogren's will take the oral tablet twice daily for 28 weeks. Researchers will monitor side effects and track disease activity through clinic visits, blood tests, and questionnaires.
