First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This pilot study tested a program called 'Nudges to Quit' to help people with serious mental illness stop smoking. The program used gentle reminders for patients, their case workers, and pharmacists to offer smoking-cessation help. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and could increase the number of people receiving treatment. The study involved 59 adult smokers from a community mental health center.
