Scientists wire up brains to see how magnetic pulses travel

NCT ID NCT07518745

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at how transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) affects brain activity by using electrodes already placed inside the brain for medical reasons. Researchers will measure brain signals before and after TMS pulses to understand how different brain regions connect. About 10 adults aged 21 to 75 who are scheduled for brain electrode surgery can join. The goal is to learn more about brain circuits, not to treat any disease.
