New peer support program aims to cut substance use and HIV risk in transgender community

Summary
This study is testing a new mutual-help group called the TLC Program for transgender adults who use substances or are recently in recovery. The program uses mindfulness and values-based counseling to improve mental health and reduce HIV risk. Researchers will enroll 124 participants across the U.S. to see if the program is acceptable and effective.
