First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether patients with primary hyperaldosteronism (a condition causing high blood pressure and electrolyte imbalances) lose potassium inside their tissues. Using a special MRI technique, researchers measured potassium levels in 21 patients before and after treatment and compared them to healthy volunteers. The goal was to understand how the body stores and loses potassium in this condition.
