First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This completed phase 3b study tested whether tirzepatide is better than semaglutide for weight loss in 751 adults with obesity or overweight and related health problems like high blood pressure. Participants received injections of one drug or the other for about 74 weeks. The main goal was to see how much body weight they lost and how many achieved significant weight reduction.
