First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a mild electrical brain stimulation (tDCS) before, during, or after physical therapy helps people recover arm movement after a stroke. Sixty hospitalized stroke patients will receive three stimulation sessions each day for five days, but only one of those will be real—the others are placebos. The goal is to find the best time to use tDCS to boost recovery.
