First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at 500 adults in intensive care with septic shock and severe kidney failure. It compared starting dialysis early (within 12 hours) versus waiting 48-60 hours to see if timing affected survival at 90 days. The trial was terminated early, so results are limited.
