Could eating within a daily window replace calorie counting for diabetes?
NCT ID NCT05290246
Summary
This study is testing if time-restricted eating (limiting food intake to a set number of hours each day) is a simpler and more sustainable way to help manage type 2 diabetes than traditional calorie counting. It involves 115 overweight or obese adults with type 2 diabetes who are only taking metformin. Researchers will compare changes in blood sugar control and weight over 24 weeks between the two approaches.
