Lung cancer patients' own immune cells may halt tumor growth in new trial

NCT ID NCT06455917

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a treatment using immune cells taken from a patient's own lung tumor. These cells are grown in a lab and then given back to the patient to attack the cancer. The goal is to see if this approach can stop or slow the cancer from growing for at least 6 months. The trial is for 30 adults with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has worsened after standard treatments.
