Thyroid surgery recovery: does pain block improve outcomes?
NCT ID NCT07547124
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study observes 100 adults undergoing total thyroidectomy to see if a cervical plexus block (a type of pain injection) is linked to better recovery and less swallowing pain. Researchers will compare those who received the block as part of routine care with those who did not. No new treatments are being tested—the goal is to gather information from standard hospital practices.
