NCT ID NCT07381998

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether measuring parathyroid hormone during thyroid removal surgery can help doctors personalize care afterward. About 150 adults having their thyroid removed will be split into groups based on their hormone drop. Some will skip routine blood tests, while others get early high-dose calcium. The goal is to reduce complications, improve quality of life, and lower healthcare costs.
