Scientists probe Thyroid's hidden role in metabolism

NCT ID NCT07410637

Summary

This study aims to understand how changes in thyroid hormone levels affect the body's blood sugar control, energy use, and fat metabolism. Researchers will observe 60 people with Graves' disease or thyroid cancer as their hormone levels are intentionally adjusted with medication. Participants will take sugar tolerance tests before and after treatment to measure the metabolic effects.
