First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving thyroid hormone (levothyroxine) to people on dialysis who have slightly high TSH levels can improve their quality of life, physical strength, and heart health. About 336 adults on hemodialysis will receive either the hormone or a placebo for a year. The goal is to see if this common treatment is safe and effective for this group.
