Budget camera could spot diabetic foot danger early

NCT ID NCT07463456

First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study checks if a cheap thermal camera (about 200 euros) works as well as a professional one for finding foot hot spots in people with diabetes. Hot spots can signal early foot problems. 130 adults with diabetes will have both cameras take pictures of their feet. The goal is to see if the low-cost camera can reliably detect these warning signs.
