New therapy aims to heal minds after devastating earthquakes
NCT ID NCT06189937
Summary
This study tested a special group therapy program designed to help survivors of the 2023 Turkey earthquakes cope with psychological distress, depression, and anxiety. The program, called Culturally Adapted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CA-CBT), was tailored to the survivors' cultural background and delivered in eight sessions. Researchers compared it to standard care to see if it was more effective at reducing symptoms and improving well-being one month after treatment.
