Could this ease the anesthesia shortage? study tests new sedation approach
NCT ID NCT07443254
Summary
This study is testing whether certain radiology procedures can be done safely using deep sedation instead of general anesthesia. Researchers want to see if a sedation method led by the radiology team can work well when anesthesia specialists are in short supply. They'll test this approach on up to 40 patients and measure whether procedures can be completed successfully without needing to switch to general anesthesia.
