First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether a bone-building drug (teriparatide) and whole-body vibration could help restore bone lost after spinal cord injury. 60 adults with chronic SCI and low bone density received one or both treatments for 12 months. The goal was to see if these approaches could safely increase bone mass and reduce fracture risk.
