Shockingly few patients: electrical patch study for COPD fizzles out

NCT ID NCT03548870

First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a gentle electrical stimulation device (TENS) placed on the skin could help people with COPD exercise longer after a serious flare-up. Only 2 people took part before the study was stopped early. The goal was to see if TENS could reduce shortness of breath and improve exercise time.
