TINY STUDY TESTS ELECTRIC PATCH FOR COPD BREATHING RELIEF

NCT ID NCT03548870

First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a mild electrical stimulation device (TENS) placed on the skin could help people with COPD exercise longer after a serious flare-up. Only 2 people took part before the study was stopped early, so we cannot draw firm conclusions. The idea was to see if TENS could reduce shortness of breath and improve exercise tolerance.
