Promising combo aims to wipe out early breast cancer before surgery

NCT ID NCT06604858

First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab to standard chemotherapy can eliminate all signs of cancer in people with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer before they have surgery. About 31 participants with small tumors (1 to 2.5 cm) that haven't spread to lymph nodes will receive the combination. The main goal is to see how many have no cancer left at the time of surgery.
