First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested a telehealth program for adults who had coronary artery bypass surgery. 160 participants were randomly assigned to either the telehealth program or usual care. The program used phone-based check-ins and a smartphone app to track symptoms, encourage self-care, and improve quality of life. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce symptom distress and help patients better manage their recovery at home.
