Video training for dental sealants works as well as In-Person teaching
NCT ID NCT07232797
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested whether dental interns can apply cavity-preventing sealants just as well after watching a video as after in-person training. Fifty children aged 7–9 each had two molars treated, one by each training method. After three months, the sealants placed by video-trained interns were retained just as well, suggesting tele-education could be a reliable way to teach this preventive skill.
