First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests if a drug called tegoprazan can reduce stomach acid during general anesthesia, which may lower the risk of stomach contents entering the lungs. About 174 adults having planned surgery will receive tegoprazan, famotidine, or a placebo before anesthesia. The main goal is to measure stomach acid levels right after breathing tube placement.
