Could group doctor visits help teens manage diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06658743
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study looked at whether shared medical appointments—where teens with type 2 diabetes meet together with their care team—are a good way to deliver care. Researchers designed four group activities focused on nutrition, exercise, stress, and peer support, and planned how to run these clinics. Fifty-three teens and their caregivers took part, attending quarterly visits and completing surveys. The goal was to see if this team-based approach is acceptable and practical, not to test a treatment.
