First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) with virtual reality meditation can reduce anxiety in people with generalized anxiety disorder or related conditions. About 52 adults will receive 12 sessions over two weeks, either real or fake stimulation, while using VR meditation. Researchers will check anxiety levels right after treatment and one month later to see if the combo helps more than the placebo.
