Brain zaps for TBI recovery: early study tests feasibility

NCT ID NCT05327829

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This early study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called TACS can help improve thinking and decision-making after a mild to moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI). Researchers will enroll 30 adults to see if the approach is feasible and well-tolerated. The goal is to gather initial data, not to prove a cure or treatment yet.
