Summary

This study is testing if giving tuberculosis (TB) preventive drugs immediately after a child or teen is exposed to someone with TB can stop them from getting infected. Researchers will compare children who get the drugs right away to those who follow standard care, which is to wait and see if they test positive for infection first. The goal is to see if this 'window period' treatment can prevent new TB infections in young household contacts.
